Last week, we talked about Christmas too much and we lost topics to talk about. Anyways, it must be good not to talk about Christmas because everybody is doing it.

we talked about the presents made us nuts. jack got old school game boy and he got obsessed with that. Imagine young BIG Fat Jack is playing old school game boy in a restroom. We can not hate him. .. this is kinda random thought, but what if all of us met accidentaly on a street when we were kids? I would have made fun of jack's lookin for sure. As for Chris, I dont know. I assume he was crazy and wild. Maybe me and Chris made a group together to make fun of Jack.

Anyway, I just wanna say thank you for listning. Tonight we have been talking about Christmas. Jack met REAL Santa in down town, FW last saturday. Santa was giving dreams to kids. On the other hand, Santa I met at Hulen mall was robbing money from kids with good excuse saying "wanna take a picture with me?"
Also we were talking about the presents which make significant difference from others with low budget. Jack came up with romantic ideas like monthly flower delivery service. He must be thinking himself as a romanticist. Good Joke (I love you jack)
Chris said its gonna be the cds from SPBeer. Thats right, all the music we are playing are talking about L-O-V-E. Seems like we had great thanksgiving this year. (Cowboys won!) I was at my friend's house at lakeside and had some alcohol. It was snowing that time and freakin cold. but for some reasons, I became really want to jump into the lake with naked and make people laugh. I didn't do it after all but I feel that was a right deicision. But at the same time, I regret.

Hockey sounds fun sports to me (even though I don't know how it spells). I'm wondering if there is any position like "fighter" beside FW or DF. Chris suggested me to play Hockey with him, but I don't know if thats gonna happen. I have been to ice-skating long time ago, but I was about to sprain my ankle 5 secends after I started.

I freaking love this clip. Sushi, what kind of sushi exactly are you?"
Then I was like "... well... Kumquat...I'm definitely not squid" Thanks giving is a perfect time to ask those questions to your family!

All of us were so excited to watch TCU NEWS NOW. It's Foley from the Metal Effect blogging live from the studio. We just got through playing some old school Megadeth from the late 80's. Its weird. I play these songs and they still seems new to me even though they're 20 years old. The term "ahead of it's time" get thrown around a lot, so much so that its basically lost its meaning. I normally try not use it, but I'm going to right now.

Megadeth is a band that was ahead of their time. If you don't believe me go check out their older albums like "Rust in Peace" or "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" Both are metal classics from the 80's. But they deal with subject matter that still rings true today. Is it one of those history repeats itself kind of things or is the apocalyptic world that Dave Mustaine talks about in his lyrics actually coming to be? I'll let you guys decide.

In the words of Dave Mustaine from Megadeth's debut album "rattle your *** **** head"
- Foley

First Guest

Hey there KTCU listeners, its Drew from KTCU Unplugged!!!! I know that you are all very excited about our first guest, I know that I am. We will have Taylor Enze in studio in just under 30 minutes. I have to be honest, I am pumped. Tay and I have been friends since freshman year and he is one of the best guitar players I know. It should be fun. He will not actually be playing any songs today (he is feeling a little under the weather), but he will be hanging out with Jon and I. If you have any suggestions for the show, or you just want to email me the address is ktcuunplugged@yahoo.com.

I hope to hear from all of you sooner than later.

Drew

p.s. I feel like I am eating wonderful cuisines from each country in one night... Thats right, we want you to feel in that way!
Tastes much better than any cuisines, we are "Sushi, Pancakes, and a pint of beer!"
I'm your sushi boy writing my weekly diary to let you know whats going on in the studio while we are on the air! Oops dont forget my grammatical and spell mistakes. Pancake has been looking for a perfect syrup for him on eHarmony.com!
As for beer dude, he has been trying to be less bubly, so that beautiful girls dont burp so many times.

As you know, we welcomed The Frontier Brothers last Sunday and intervied. Also they played acoustic version of their songs. Funny thing was one of the Frontier brothers had a pack of pickel in his pocket ALL THE TIME! I've been patiently waiting and trying not to watch the previews (and thus get anxious about it) ever since I saw the first one back in August.. when Bourne Ultimatum was out.

I'm pretty sure that Denzel is good in just about every movie he does. This isn't just a generalization of a fan here... it's fact. Not only is he in good films, he gets paid handsomely for them too. Let's take a look on IMDB:

Salary
American Gangster (2007)  $20,000,000
Man on Fire (2004)  20,000,000
Out of Time (2003/I)  $20,000,000
Training Day (2001)  $12,000,000
The Hurricane (1999)  $10,000,000
Courage Under Fire (1996)  $10,000,000

It's no real surprise that Denzel is good at what he does. Did you know he has one of the most symmetrical faces in Hollywood? Check it out:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5OJ8w9n2odk/RyxohcYXlrI/AAAAAAAAAAM/wXF7MKL9Ais/s320/denzel.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128588999431526066" />

and now, with help from the ever powerful photo-editing tool, MSPaint:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5OJ8w9n2odk/RyxotcYXlsI/AAAAAAAAAAU/b9h9cOK_OPY/s320/denzelsplit.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128589205589956290" />

Okay, so the split face thing isn't the most flattering image of Denzel, but can we agree that we'd recognize the guy if all we had to go on was the bottom photo?

Let's try it with another Hollywood type. How about Jennifer Garner?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5OJ8w9n2odk/RyxsWcYXltI/AAAAAAAAAAc/3HNB-iYPnGA/s320/garner.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128593208499476178" />

Now, with the split-face technique:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5OJ8w9n2odk/RyxshsYXluI/AAAAAAAAAAk/sTmORRYo9Ww/s320/garnersplit.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128593401773004514" />

What does this prove?

Not sure, really.... other than this advice:

If you get a facelift, don't opt to have half of your face copied and pasted to the other side.

Yep.

Sully

Hallowen? Because of that, all of us got so scared. Chris passed out in a bathroom and both me and Jack called our parents in Japan and London. Oh... very Spbeer
Elisa interviewed all of us about what made us to have a show together or how do we promote our show. It should be on KTCU TV channel next week. You can see how much we were shaking that time.

Also, we interviewed the band called "The Frontier Brothers" on the air. The interview was great and Jack did a great job! I hope we can put more bands on the air in near future. The frontier brothers are Austin based band and playing at the moon this Saturday. Go check them out

oh man, we have a football game tomorrow, I mean soccer. KTCU djs formed a soccer team and tomorrow is the first game day. Since neither me nor Chris can be there, Jack will be the representative of Spbeer.(He is the last troop of us and he is massive enough to threaten other players!)

I hope you are having great time listning to SPBeer. For some reasons, I decided to write weekly diary to tell you whats going on here with some grammatical and spell mistakes.

Its kinda hectic in the studio tonight. Chris has been editting the interview they (jack and chris)recorded today. I am sitting in front of the control board and paying attention (I feel like I'm working at the stock market!!)if everything is alright (so that you dont miss great tunes!!) As for Jack, he has been clicking hot girls on myspace. (he is the one who manages our myspace!)

Oh by the way, all of us are in a soccer team now. we are playing for Intramural thing. I'm wondering what the team name will be. I think, pretty much every Saturday morning, when I slowly roll out of bed around 5:35. Luckily, I live on the beautiful TCU campus, and getting over to the station and having the first few songs ready to isn't all that difficult of a proposition.

Either way, 6 AM isn't easy for the typical college kid.

Oh well, I guess that's not me then! I've been on the air exactly 16 minutes now (time check, 6:16 AM) and am pretty much fully awake. I think the hardest part now at this hour is to try and not make any huge on-air gaffes or typos on here. Thank goodness for spellcheck!

Now 6:20 AM: So much for no on-air messups.. while listening to a promo, totally forgot to turn off the mic and coughed right there on-air, mid-commercial. This is a classy shindig we've got going on up in here. Oh yeah.

6:37 AM: Just found out that a star from "Lost" (TV Show) is going to be in jail for 6 months for violating probation. Find out who in just a few more....sentences.

6:45 AM: My choice for top song of the hour? "Sky is Falling" by Kara Grainger. Check it out! The song up now is a little more folky and kind of funny in the lyrics.. "Up on Cripple Creek" by The Band. Keeps saying something about "springing a leak.." Haha.

7:03AM: So, it turns out that "Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez is getting sent to jail for 6 months. She violated probation, which was originally given to her as a result of a hit-and-run she committed in Hollywood back in 2003. Tough life these stars must have. Drink drive, hit somone while drunk, run away. Go to court, get off. Get probation and drink again. Go to jail. Doesn't seem to have the same ring as the policy that the Texas Dept of Justice has. (See that lovely billboard at the top)

7:16 AM: So, today is Saturday. I've just realized that it's college football game day, and the Horned Frogs are playing at Stanford this afternoon ay 4 PM central. Let's hope this week is better than the last. Go Frogs!

Now 7:26: The Minutemen have a song called "Corona," the background music of a once-hit TV show on MTV. Check it out, you might be glad you did! Personally I'm not a big fan on the show myself, but I did enjoy the song. Right now we've got Lyle Lovett playing, and I must admit that I haven't given him nearly enough credit. His song called "Penguins" is quite fun to listen to. I think I might actually enjoy the name of his band more, however: Lyle Lovett and his Large Band. I'm glad to know they got that size thing figured out. I guess that means he's a "no" for The Aardvark? :)

7:35: I'm gonna give away two free tickets to Hangman's House of Horrors this morning.. tune in and listen for your chance to win!

8:02: One more hour and I can grab some breakfast before crawling into my nice, cozy bed for sleep, part 2. I generally get back to a nap for 2-3 hours after the show. It helps eliminate any crankiness that could rear its ugly head from an early morning. This isn't to say that I'm not a morning person (that's why i am here now!) but.. man, early is early. For any of you who get up early and tune in, I'm glad to be here right beside you. I know how you feel.

8:28 AM: Man, we've had some crazy CD issues this morning...hopefully the DJs on after me will take note and move around the troubled spots... jsut realized how much that sounds like a traffic report. Guess I've been in here too long. :) If you see this between now (8:28 AM) and 9 AM today, Saturday, October 13, then I want to reward you. Give me a call here at the studio, I have 2 free tickets to Hangman's House of Horrors to give to you. Just tell me that you saw this blog, and the tickets are yours! 817-257-7631. My name is Sully.

8:37 AM: Still no callers for the tickets. Sad day! This will brighten us up though.. With respect to the evolutionary theory: http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/tpa/409930561.html

8:46: I've said this about 9424897 times today, but PLEASE.... DO SOMETHING OUTSIDE TODAY! It's gonna be absolutely gorgeous, and I wish I had a bike to ride. Maybe I'll just do the rollerblade thing instead.

8:56: It is a few minutes until I am scheduled to be off of the air, but alas, again, the person supposed to spell me hasn't shown up yet. Sheesh. At least it's been a fun morning! I hope you've enjoyed reading this, as much I have enjyoed writing. Cheers!

- Sully :)

NINJA BEARS!

Hey, this is Joel, and I have an AWESOME video to share.

Stephen Colbert says Bears are the number 1 threat to America.
